GBTU Lunch

Longfellow’s Wayside Inn, Sudbury MA

72 Wayside Inn Rd, Sudbury, MA

Saturday, September 19, 10am-2pm

First, some background:  GBTU youth board member Max Fishman has been fishing Josephine Pond on the Wayside property for years.  Recently he has organized cleanups with members of the Lincoln-Sudbury High School Fly Fishing Club.  He is also setting up a Flybrary as his Eagle Scout project on the property.  I was able to tour the property with him and Peter Sterndale, President of the Central MA Chapter of Trout Unlimited.  This site is also the “home” for the late Armand Courchaine, who was an ambassador for fly fishing in so many ways.  We are planning additional events here in the future, so stay tuned.

Based on the survey results some of you would like to get together in person at an appropriate venue. The Wayside Inn will set up an outdoor BBQ and tent (normally holds one hundred people but which we will cap at 25) where we can maintain proper social distancing.  Josephine Pond will be a few steps away for casting and, if you're lucky, catching.  Stay tuned for other activities planned for the day.

NOTE: we did not hit our 25 person minumum so need to change from a BBQ to the lunch menu.

The cost will be $20 and include one lucnh entre and desert.
